Technosoft drives are able to detect a pre-programmed transition on several inputs. When the transition occurs, both the motor position and the master position (where available) are captured and stored in dedicated variables (CAPPOS and CAPPOS2 respectively).

Usually, depending on the drive model, there are 2 capture inputs: CAPI and CAP2I. These inputs are very fast and accurate, the capture process is completed in less than 200 nanoseconds.

There are also 2 other inputs with capture capabilities, LSN and LSP (the negative and positive limit switches). They are also fast and accurate, the capture process is completed in less than 5 microseconds.
