To easily evaluate and immediately start working with the plug-in versions of the iPOS drive family, Technosoft proposes the starter kit package – a solution that can be used from basic first movement motor tests up to the complete implementation of your motion control application.
The starter kit HW is composed by the iPOS drive plugged-into its specific I/O motherboard. The I/O board has connectors giving easy access to all the signals of the plug-in drive: motor and feedback, communication and I/O signals. Pushbuttons are available for easy simulation of the digital inputs while LEDs are present for a visual illustration of the state of the digital outputs. The HW can be completed, depending on the starter kit type, by a small stepper or a brushless motor with incremental encoder so that you do not need any additional HW to start evaluating the iPOS drive before starting to design your own customized motherboard.
The starter kit SW is represented by the license of the EasyMotion Studio – the PC program allowing you to setup and tune the drive for your specific motor & feedback combination and to develop the motion application using the powerful Technosoft Motion Language (TML) programming capabilities of the embedded controller inside the iPOS unit.
A starter kit represents also a cost-effective combination compared to the price of the parts that compose it so that you have another commercial advantage to evaluate the drive using the starter kit before designing your specific carrier board for it.
Various starter kits (for CAN or EtherCAT, with or without demo motor) are available for the iPOS drives listed below:
