In case of the Technosoft drives with NPN outputs, an NPN to PNP adapter has to be used in order to connect a PNP equipment to their outputs (24 V, 0.5 A minimum).

For this adapter, we suggest the schematics below.

1. Using SMD components

IN = the NPN output of the Technosoft drive
OUT = the PNP output which supports 0.8 A and a voltage equal to Vlog

Requireds components:
– NXP transistor (Philips), type: PBRP123YT;
– LL4148 diode;
– 10 kOhm resistor, SMD type: 1206.

2. Using discrete (trough-hole) components

Required components:
– BD676 transistor or equivalent (PNP, >40V, >1A, hFE > 500);
– 1N5391 diode or equivalent (<50 V, >1 A);
– 4.7 Kilo Ohms resistors (0.25 W)

Remark: In this case the output current is 1 A without heat-sink and up to 4 A if the transistor is fixed on a heat-sink.
